DOCUMENTS: The Ward Deeds
The investigation into the Ward family is not a major line of enquiry. However, eventually I will look into the Wards for two reasons. One, that Jedediah Strutt bought the pieces of land including Shortlands at the time of the enclosures "from William Ward and John Strutt" and two, that there is evidence of the Strutt and the Ward families intermarrying.
